My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Pennsylvania, Bucks County
I will be evicting a tenant from my property this weekend (I obtained possession through court and will be doing a lock out this saturday)
My question is my right to using her security deposit. I have a $1350 security deposit. By this weekend, she will owe me approximately $3000.00
Do I have the right to utilize her security deposit for this back rent immediately, and then send her a letter informing her of how her security deposit was utilized? I will then need to sue her in court again for the amount still owed.. Any recommendations on steps I should take to ensure success? thank you
