So right! Be sure you are looking for a decent job anyhow, because unemployment is not much money and not for long, even if you are approved. It was never intended for anything but a stop gap for someone who is unemployed through no fault of their own. But for each and every week until you find that decent job and have worked at it a full week, make a weekly certification after the week has passed while you are in the appeal process. That way, if you are approved after the appeals hearing, you'll start getting regular checks, and you'll be back paid in a lump sum for all the weeks you've filed for since you began your claim. You are, if approved later in the hearing, fully able to get paid for the weeks that are going by now as you wait for the appeal.
