My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
I have been on felony probation for fraud since May 2014. In June, I did something stupid and got arrested for shoplifting. Stupid I know. I went to report, and of course I was arrested and she filed a motion to revoke my probation. I was in county jail for 14 days before I went before a judge. The judge released me on bond. They put me on bond probation until I went back to court. When I went back to court they reinstated my probation and put me on a new program called SWIFT probation. This is a very strict probation. When you are put on SWIFT you have to stay on SWIFT for the entire duration of your probation. (in my case 10 years) Two months ago, my probation officer did an evaluation and said that I am a low risk offender and she asked the judge to release me from SWIFT. The judge then granted it. I was, at the time, the only person to ever be released from SWIFT early. I then am assigned a new probation officer and I report as usual. This is my second appointment with my officer since being released to regular probation. I missed my appointment. I realized it two hours later when she called and told me. I rescheduled the appointment for as soon as possible. I even told her I could be there right now if needed. She said she was booked and scheduled me for Monday. I asked her am I in trouble I can not believe I did this I am so sorry. She said it is a violation, but I won't go to jail over it. I am scared to death. I know they are allowed to tell you things to make sure you report. I am going in on Monday, but will I be arrested for missing my appointment?
