My question involves traffic court in the State of: California
Hello,
I'm a first time poster and a first time speeding ticket receiver[CVC 22349(a)]
I drive with a dash cam daily just in case. It gives me peace of mind.
I was recently pulled over by CHP for speeding. I haven't been pulled over in almost 10 years, so I was surprised, nervous, and confused. I forgot to mention to the officer that he was being recorded on my dash cam. I'm pretty sure that the officer did not see my dash cam, since it is hidden very well behind my rear view mirror. I'm not sure how the law works with recording officers without their consent/knowledge. I'd like to use my footage in the event that their side of the story doesn't match up in court. Is this allowed? Again, I have never received a traffic ticket in my life and not sure how all this works!
Any advice, experiences, or helpful links leading me to this information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!![]()
