My question involves child support in the State of: New Mexico
Hello,
I currently reside in Arizona and have a child that I am paying child support for that lives in New Mexico. I moved to Arizona and as he got older he started having problems with his mother. She would call his grandfather (my dad) to pick him up and he would spend some time at his grandfather's house. Eventually he ended up having him move in with his grandfather. Now I am being told that he has had some problems at school and has been to court a few times. She may be willing to send him to Arizona to be with me, but she is not will to change the child support arrangements. I have 2 questions. If she sends him here to be with me how would can i change the child support or will I be able to change that? The other question is if she decides that she doesn't want him to come and live with me what do i need to do to get the child support changed to go to his grandfather? My son is now 14 and doesn't want to change his surroundings so I am not sure if the court will give me custody.
