Default How to Hold Elected Representatives Accountable

My elected representatives have abused their power and broken the law, how can I hold them accountable for their violation of their oath of office?

    Vote them out.

Vote them out of office at the next election or, if your state allows for it, try to get the person out of office through a recall vote.

But based on your prior posts in this thread, I’m willing to bet that what you consider abuse of power most people would say is the legislator simply doing their job: passing laws that they believe the public wants.

I actually think that the war time powers of the Commander In Chief are being abused - and that the drone striking of suspected terrorist camps that lead to the assassination of american minors, as well as the collateral damage to the nearby civilian population is an international war crime.

I've been involved in a recall (hurrah Scott Walker!) and the process seems inefficient and costly. Is their no remedy through the court system?
