The original contract may constrain the employer's ability to impose new terms, at least without losing its ability to recover the relocation expenses if they fire the employee for not signing the new contract. I agree that an attorney should review the old (and new) contract. How much would that cost? It depends in no small part on the length of the contracts and the complexity of their terms.
