My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California

Hi, I leased a house for my daughter and three of her college teammates to live in. My name was the only name on the rental agreement. The girls were handwritten in the bottom of the page as roommates. The girls, after numerous times being told no, threw party after party and basically caused some small but enough damages to the house. The landlord gave me quotes that exceeded $3000 in expenses. Our deposit, which we split evenly, was only $2200. The landlord decided that if I forfeited the deposit then he would not send me a bill for all of the damages and consider us even but he would do the work himself. One of the mothers is horrible and continues to call and harass me for her share of the deposit. Now she is threatening to take me to Small Claims Court. Can she do that?? I did not receive any of the deposit back, am I really going to be expected to pay this woman out of my own pocket for her share of the deposit?? Learned my lesson and will never sign for a house for anyone but myself and family to live in ever again!!
