Default Having a Minor Relative Move Into Your Section 8 Housing

My question involves guardianship in the State of: Michigan.

I am from Michigan currently living in Texas. I have a 15 yr old daughter who will be 16 next mth. She wants to go back to Michigan to finish her last two yrs of high school with my niece. I have completed a Power of Attorney which is sufficient for school and government assistance such as medicaid and Snap but my sister receives section 8 housing. My question is, with all parties consenting, is the power of attorney sufficient for section 8 as well?

    Default Re: Help

Your niece can speak to her case worker about having somebody move in with her and how it might affect her housing benefit.
