My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Illinois. About 17 years ago, my license was suspended in Illinois for getting into an accident with a parked car. I had insurance at the time, but i did not have the card on me. I went to the insurance office to get a new copy, but in the time i had them for my insurance (a little corner office thing that looked seedy anyway but i was a kid of 18 and didn't know better) the office had closed or moved. I was unable to get a replacement card, so i was charged with no insurance and getting into an accident. I didn't go to court, but there was no warrant, i was just suspended. In that time, i got criminal charges, and when i was unable to pay fines for the criminal charges, my license was suspended again, a few times. My license was never reinstated even though it was suspended maybe 5 times. I no longer live in Illinois, and i want to get my license in Indiana, but when i call to try and pay my fines in Illinois, I am told i have to motion the case back into court and have it dealt with. How can i do this if i don't live in Illinois anymore, and I want to get my license? There is no fee or fine posted for me to pay, so the only way is court and i don't have money to travel back there, take this to court and pay the fine. How do i handle this?
