Default Cashier Identified Tag Switching but Let Customer Buy an Item and Leave

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Nevada

I've read over a dozen of the same thread regarding "retail fraud/shoplifting" and "switching tag and getting caught."

    Here is my story:
I was at Saver's and I got a couple of items I wanted and couple of items that are priced cheaper. I went into the fitting room and changed the tags. The clothes I didn't want are put back on the "doesn't fit" rack and I personally put some back at the appropriate rack. When I went to the cashier, the girl scanned the 1st item without hesitation. Then she checks on the 2nd item and noticed a small tear on the tag (the hole was made bigger to easily switch the tag). Then she starts checking other item and notice all of them have small tears in them. She then said ,"these items have mismatched tags" (note: they're not mismatch, the only reason she knows it not is because its the tears). Then she said, "if you want to buy them, you have tomorrow because the people who tags the price are gone, so for now, I will only charge you for the 1st scanned item." So I paid the item with my debit card then walked out. (note: there were more items on the small basket cart but I left it on the aisle and she probably didn't notice until I left).

Okay, again from reading from other related posts, I know:
    - They know I was stealing
    - They know my information from my debit card.
    - They know my information from my license plate.
    - The girl will probably inform the LP and manager

I have a few questions I need answers to:

    1) Will I get a civil of criminal form sent to me by mail?
    2) Will they try to get the cops to come knocking at my door?

    Disclaimer:
    - The only item I bought costed me $2.69. The original price from the original tag would have cost $8.99
    - I'm really scared! I never will do it ever again!

I mean that we have absolutely no way to see into the future and tell you the answers to either of your questions.

This is not to say that the Loss Prevention Team is investigating the case as we speak and going over the CCTV footage and the next time the OP decides to return he/she will be met at the entrance to the store and asked to come to the back office and be processed and banned from the store.

I would stay far away from Savers and the Shopping Center/Mall its located in because chances are you are being investigated. If you paid for the items by credit card awesome because now the store can find out what register you used, the time of the transaction and with CCTV facial recognition they will know who you are. It doesn't take long for a store to do their research and they could potentially send you a Civil Demand in the mail as well as a tresspass order. In fact the store has up to the Statue Of Limitations to press charges for this reason so they can review the footage and do the research with all resources available to them.

If you do go back to Savers be prepared for the apprehension and even if you go to the shopping center/mall its not that hard for Savers to share your photo with the entire mall/shopping center to alert Savers if they have seen you. Your license plate number could have been taken and via the DMV and US Mail can send you a Civil Demand, Tresspass Order and even report you to the local Police and issue a warrant/court date. A Police officer may visit you when you least expect it.

Yes its good to be scared and I hope you have learned your lesson but just be forewarned consequences can be headed your way.
