Default Stopped for Speeding, Ticketed for No Proof of Insurance, Failure to Update Address

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: kentucky

Hi, need some advice on how to remove two of the traffic violations on my ticket, one is for failure of non owner to maintain req/sec, 1st off and the other is for failure to notify adrs change to dept of trans. What happened was i was on my way to pick up my little sisters after realizing i late already so while while on the way to pick em up from art camp which was all the way in huntertown at a catholic school but i should of been paying attention and didn't stop at the stop sign so anywho i was pulled over and the officer asked me for my license and proof of insurance i provided the license but i wasn't for sure if the insurance paper was still in the glove conpartment so i told him that and at the last second realized that i've still had it in the car so when the officer came back i showed it to him but that was when he was already finished writing down the ticket so long story short he said to change my old address to my new one and forgot what he said to do about the insurance paper so if anyone could be of some help please tell what i can do about the insurance violation and the license since its my first offense

also my court date is on july the eighth at 4:30pm

You don't make clear whether the car was insured and you were unable to find proof of insurance, or if the car was in fact uninsured at the time you were driving it. If it was insured, it is often possible to get a ticket for failure to produce proof of insurance dismissed (perhaps on payment of a fine) with submission of proof of continuous insurance. If it was not insured, you can ask your sister to insure the car and provide you with proof that it is now insured, and hope that the prosecutor gives you a break.

Have you updated your license as required by law? If so, you can document to the prosecutor that you have corrected your address and hope that the prosecutor is willing to give you a break.

You can try to discuss your case with the prosecutor yourself, or you can hire a lawyer to try to negotiate a deal on your behalf.

Sorry should of made it clear, when the officer came back i showed him my proof of insurance and yes i was insured at the time i was pulled over because we just renewed it back in April. The officer said i can get both of the offenses removed by updating my address but he wasn't on if i should bring proof that i was insured at the time of the incident or what.

Also, will i have to pay a court cost and such since this is my first time appearing in court for a traffic violation and want to find out how i can contact the prosecutor about the two offenses I'm willing to take responsibility for passing a stop sign and pay the fine just want to get rid of the license and insurance citations and should I bring both my license and insurance on my court date.
