My question involves real estate located in the State of: NY
I'm looking at purchasing a small piece of property for 25k. I'm currently looking into getting a title search , but I'm wondering if I really need to consult a lawyer for this type of transaction. If so what kind of budget should I be setting aside. I don't really need any crazy contingencies in the contract, so I don't see that being super complicated, just trying to get some sort of idea. Also, does the lawyer do the title seach? or is that something I can do on my own.
