My question involves juvenile law in the State of Missouri. I was pulled out of class on May 14th by my school resource officer and told that he has "reasonable suspicion" that I was in possession of illegal substances. He than asked to search my back pack, I said no but than he called in my school principal to search it. Under the Missouri's "safes school act" he is allowed to search my bag for pretty much any reason. So he searches my bag and finds a gram of marijuana. My mom is called and I was suspended from school for 70 days because this is my second time being suspended for drugs. So in a couple weeks, I will have to go see a Juvenile officer. So my question is, what is most likely going to happen punishment wise? I have only been in trouble with the law once. A couple months ago I was caught shoplifting with some friends, but when I went to see the Juvenile officer, he just gave me a warning. No court or anything like that, so it is not on my record.
