Can Adults Run Away From Home

Hi guys, I just registered to this forum to ask this question.

I'm 19 year old and soon to be 20, and my girlfriend is 18 year-old.

I'm facing a really hard time, we're both from different religions and our families can't accept the fact that we want to marry in the future.

so we decided that after we finish our Master degree we'll runaway together somewhere outside.

I just wanted to ask, if her parents went to the police can the police do anything about it after we runaway or before ? I mean we will be like 25 year old or something when this happens so I'm just wondering.

and we're deciding to run somewhere in Europe not approaching the United States in anyway.

Well, neither the US nor any country in Europe would allow your parents to stop you from doing anything that you wanted at that age.

what if the parents reported it as a kidnapping issue ? what could we do ?

I know, but in general can the police do anything about it if I was in Europe, can they reach me ?
