Default Can a Student Visa Be Revoked if You Get Somebody Pregnant

Daughter dated a Nigerian Student for 3 years. He came to the USA via Canada on a student visa. They were looking at engagement rings with the intent of getting married. My daughter was on a low dose birth control pill that did not work and she became pregnant. At that time he was in a PHD program. He absolves himself of any responsibility and my grandson is 15 months old and he has not seen his son; Can his student visa be revoked. thanks

Neither his relationship with your daughter nor her pregnancy have anything to do with his visa. His visa is contingent upon his continuing to attend school.

You should file to establish paternity and child support. If he remains in the US to work as is the case with many PhD students, your grandchild can receive the support due him.

Concur with Mr. K and T53417.

    Also?

My daughter was on a low dose birth control pill that did not work and she became pregnant.
No, that's not how hormonal birth control works. "Low dose" doesn't mean that they are less effective. She either took antibiotics (which lower the efficacy of hormonal birth control) or did not adhere properly to her schedule for taking the pill. You have to take them every single day. Miss one, and you may find yourself with a passenger. The vast majority of "contraceptive failures" are due to user error.

Default Can a Student's Visa Be Revoked for Pregnanting a U.S. Citizen

My daughters boyfriend came from Nigeria via Canada; they met in a Marketing Masters Program; they dated for 3 years with the expectation of getting engaged; while on a trip to Los Vegas he sent me a text with my daughter trying on rings. While he was in the PHD program my daughter got pregnant on a low dose birth control pill. My grandson is 15 months; he has not seen the child( my daughter was open to him being a part of my grandson's life (but he refuses to see him) and is currently still in the United States; my daughter is going to start the process for child support. Will his Visa be suspended because he impregnanted a US citizen while her on student visa. thank

Believe it or not, asking the question a second time won't change the answer.

No. His visa will not be suspended (or revoked, or cancelled, or in any other way affected) because he impregnated a US citizen while here on a student visa. His visa will in no way be affected by his actions.

I hope that the answer to your question is now clear to you.
