Post Running Away From Home While on Probation

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Missouri and Arkansas.

Okay so I'm 17 years old. I've been living in Missouri and a few months ago me and my boyfriend got busted for being together in Arkansas without my parents permission. I got put on unsupervised probation for 60* days. At the time I was 16. Since then I've turned 17 and recently went to live with my boyfriend in Arkansas. My mom came along with the police and said they said if I didn't go with her they were going to lock me up. Age of majority is 18 in Arkansas but I'm pretty sure I can live anywhere in Missouri of my choice. I do not believe I have to stay with my mother. So my question is even though I'm on unsupervised probation in Arkanasas , I should still be able to live anywhere in Missouri right? My probation officer said it's probably best to stay with my mother but he didn't directly say I had too. Any answer would be helpful , PLEASE and thank you!

We can't answer to the actual limits of your PO, but you're already on a very, very short leash. What makes you think you make the rules?

Missouri has a loophole in the law that makes it difficult enough, though not impossible, for LEO to force a 17 year old home that many of them won't bother to try.

That does NOT mean that Mom cannot come get you, put you forcibly in the car, and drag your little minor ass back home where it belongs and not let you out for any reason but school until you turn 18.

How old is the boyfriend in this case?

(and deliberately disobeying the parent without suffering legal consequences is just Not Very Good At All)

    Then there's the probation issue...
