Default Buying a House in the Middle of a Divorce

My question involves real estate located in the State of: California

My parents are going to get a divorce in which were we live we got a 60 days notice to quit. My mother is looking into purchasing a house in California with her own money that she has save up in which she is in fear that once the divorce goes through he will get rights to the house in which that is something she doesn't to happen. What can she do to secure herself for my father not going after house since he is refusing to sign the quite claim deed title form. Can she put the title of the house in my name in order to prevent that from happening? Can she claim that she bought the house while they were both separated at time of purchasing?

This is not a matter a child should deal with. Your mother needs to consult her divorce attorney who will advise her best based on where she is in the divorce process.
