    Default Paying child support to the State of Texas

    st. texas i owe child support to the state of texas.on a paterty case in which the young boy was 17 at the the time.the mother did not raise him the grandmother did.the mother was reciving a check from the state .i was paying for serval years. my question is the state raised the payment with out going to court.is there any thing i can do about this!

    They raised what payment? Your support payment is set by the court. The state's share may have gone up - that would depend on what they were paying to support the child, not on the court order.

    That was my first impression also, but does Texas have administrative CS orders (done by the CSE agency)? If it is an administrative order rather than full court order it might be possible for the payments to be adjusted without going to court. I know Fl has administrative orders, but I'm not sure if Tx does or not.
