A wrongful termination is where someone is fired for a reason specifically prohibited by law. Reasons specifically prohibited by law include things like race, gender, religion, age (but only those people over 40), disability, and reporting employers' illegal activities to the relevant judicial authorities. There are no laws prohibiting employers from firing people for not adhering to rules they weren't aware of. Heck, there are no laws prohibiting employers from firing people for wearing dark socks to work!
