My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: District of Columbia

I've been working for this company for roughly 4 years. We recently had a "regime change" and some employees became managers etc... There have been 1-2 employees who have been fired so far because of coming in late for work.

I was recently bought into an office with my supervisor and was given a copy of my timesheet and a copy of "computer login/logout logs". Essentially the manager is saying that the upper management is using this as a method to track employees. He says that in my case they don't match and that I have less computer time than timesheet time. I work within an IT environment (not sweatshop). We have meetings, phone calls, etc.... Sometimes we are not directly in front of the computer and not logged in.

We also have the ability to remote work. In general so far one employee has been fired and he's indicating to me that he want's to file for wrongful term!!!! I'm getting the impression that you can't reliably use computer login/logout times as an indicator for when someone is physically present. We also work in an environment where someone can be performing work elsewhere, but be on the clock.

We login to a timesheet system and put in our own time and submit this to our supers...
