Nothing wrong here. Barring a contract or some collective bargaining agreement, you're free to quit and they're free to fire you for just about any reason. There's no obligation that a customer of a business report problems they have with you back to you rather than going to the higher ups in the company (in fact people rarely do, why should I deal with a misbehaving employee). Your employment record, by the way, is not subject to any confidentiality restrictions.
