Default Can You Get a Ticked Dismissed Based on a Court Date Error on Your Release Form

My question involves traffic court in the State of: California (Los Angeles)

    Hello,

I received a citation in September of 2014, and I recently went to my Arraignment in February 2015. I pled Not Guilty and was released by the judge on OR, meaning that I promised to appear in court in the future and therefore did not have to pay the fine.

However, I did not realize until after I came home that the court date that the clerk wrote down on the OR form and that I signed on was for September 2014 instead of 2015.

My question is, how is the clerk likely to deal with the situation (is the case gonna be throw out because the dates clearly don't match up.. how can my court date be before the date of the original violation) and if this is basis to dismiss the ticket if I were to hire a lawyer.

    Thank you

It's a typo, it is not a get out of jail free card.

You were arraigned in Feb 2015 and your court date is not until September of this year?
