Default Giving False Info to the Police

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Colorado

A couple of weeks ago I was stopped by a police officer for an open container and he gave me minor in possession. I gave the police the wrong first name, address, and phone number. I live in dorms and gave him the wrong dorm. I did though, give him the correct middle and last name as well as DOB. I received an email from my school stating information about court dates. If I call the court and tell them it was not me that received the ticket, will they know it was or will I be okay??

No, you won't be okay. They have enough to properly identify you and possibly charge you with additional crimes for lying to the officer.

Actually, I think you can count on the additional charges and would prep with your lawyer in anticipation.

It sounds like they've already figured out who you are.

You can show for court and pray to god that the officer doesn't show up and identify you as the one he wrote the ticket to.
