OP, while I don't use these types of tests in my hiring processes, I do ask carefully-crafted interview questions designed to weed out people who don't like working with others, who get stressed out easily, who don't handle tough situations with good manners and aplomb, etc. So my interviews do the same thing as the tests, and if you're so dense as to think that means I'm hiring only goose-steppers, then you're not likely to pass one of my interviews. (And that would be a good thing.)
