Default Can a Teenage Mother Live With Her Boyfriend

My question involves paternity law for the State of: Pennsylvania.
I'm 16 and pregnant and I'm not here to make an excuse on how im pregnant or want anyone to bash me because I am. I'm trying to figure out what to do to help my child. My home isn't a suitable household for a baby, I'm still involved with the baby's father and his parents are talking about trying to get me to move in with them. Is there anyway that is possible? My mother is never home and I'm always watching my two brother fight constantly and my biological father isn't in my life. My house is a very stressed place and my doctor told me not to put myself in that situation also my mother is trying to push abortion onto me. So I'm asking for someone's help in getting my life in order before my baby is here. Is there any possible way for me to legally move out and into my boyfriends parents house? Even if I get emancipated can I live with them or some way have his parents as my legal guardian? My mom wouldn't sign her rights over so we need a way to go around that. My boyfriend has a good paying job and is willing to support our child and myself. Please, someone help me out!

The only way you are going to move into anyone's house but the one you're in right now is if your parents give you permission. There is NO law that is going to allow you to move out as long as you are under 18 unless your parents give the okay. No, your being pregnant does not make the law go away.

You are not going anywhere without moms permission. The last place CS would place you is with your boyfriend so you can create more babies. Getting pregnant indicates you need more, not less supervision. Mom can stop all contact between you and BF. Mom can refuse contact between baby and BF absent paternity and court orders, if she were to regulate your activities hard enough.

As for emancipation, that's done on a county by county level in your state and not all counties allow a minor to be emancipated. But even in the ones that do, you have to be able to pay ALL your own expenses while keeping up better than average grades, AND you need to show the court evidence of exceptionally good maturity and judgement - a point you fail on automatically by turning up pregnant at 16.
