My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Ohio
My son was born premature and his lungs were under-developed, so he was in the hospital (never left) for 7 months, going through surgeries and such. CPS got involved and placed him in a foster home that deals with medically fragile kids. He has contracted MRSA while in the foster home, and there is even a child there that has AIDS.... and the Foster Mom is "all natural", meaning she doesn't shave nor wear deodorant. CPS was originally involved because the father's mother told them that I was on heroin. I wasn't and never was, they found this out through several hair follicle tests. Now, (18 months later) I was notified yesterday that my son is in ICU and has to have heart surgery. He has been in ICU for two weeks, and they are just now telling me. I am pretty pissed. I have went through all the training classes to know how to handle his equipment and take good care of him, as he is still on oxygen and such. Over the last 18 months, my CPS worker has let two vouchers expire that was supposed to buy his equipment and has ducked and dodged almost every call from me checking up on the case. The judge has warned her several times about it, but she keeps getting away with it by saying I'm the one not doing my part. How can I go about filing charges on a CPS worker? I have already filed complaints, but to nothing happens because she is buddy-buddy with her supervisor. I should also mention that I am a black woman living in a very rural area and I suspect a lot of this is racism. So who do I call? How can I get justice? Someone please help me with this...
