My question involves criminal law for the state of: Wisconsin
I didn't know where to turn for help so here I am.
About a year ago, my then girlfriend and I were breaking up. I suffered a psychological breakdown after she started flaunting men in front of me
(including having them over at our home). For which I was held on a suicide watch for 5 days. I received nothing in the way of substantial help.(No medication or counseling).
One day while I attempted to move out (she had a guy over) she called the police. I was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct (No priors).
While I await my day in court, she called me and wanted to reconcile. We started living together again. Later I was placed on probation (with no abusive contact with her).
While on probation, she viciously attacked me one night when I declined to be intimate with her. Unknown to her, I was able to record some audio of it with my cellphone.
She threaten to have me put in jail and that no one would believe me if I reported it (she works with the DOC as a supervisor/counselor).
I was extremely scared and believed her. So I didn't reported it. Now 10 months later, she called the police when I refused to have her drive my vehicle.
The police ordered me out of the house that night. Now, I am thinking of filing domestic battery charges.
Is it too late to file charges?
What are the chances the police will believe me/take action?
Would it matter since I'm on probation?
I mentioned it to my probation officer, but she did nothing.
Please help me, thank you.
