Default Changing Children's Names After Marriage

My question involves adoption law for the State of: Florida. When I met my husband I had three children already. Their dad did not sign the birth certificate for any of them but I want to have their names changed. Where would I go to have their names changed and will I have any issues having their last names changed? I was told to go to the birth/death records building by a county employee but I just want to be sure. Thanks in advance.

You need to back up a bit.

I'm going to assume that you were never married to dad. If not, did you ever establish paternity through the courts?

and it does sound like you know who the father is, even if he did not sign the AOP or it was determined judicially.

    but anyway, start here
