Requesting Out-Of-State Visitation for Non-Custodial Parent

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: CA

I want to arrange out-of-state visitation for my 3 year-old. Mother and I separated, moved to different states, then divorced through CA courts. Divorce order in Sept 2014 (default) gave sole custody to mother, as I was in transition to AZ and did not respond. Now that I am stable, I am filing a motion to amend custody and arrange visitation and child support. I live 5 hours away in Arizona due to available family support and employment opportunities. Are there any CA state standards/recommendations for out-of-state visitation for a 3 year old?

You'd want to request a standard long distance parenting plan - every other major holiday, longer periods of visitation during the summer, etc..

You should hire an attorney to represent you, given that the ink has barely dried on the default judgment.
