Did I not explain that it can lead to seizures? Did you even read what I wrote? PAD ignorance is one thing, Willful igonorance is another. It can be considered a medical emergency AND a priority and something for which they admit you, and no not the psch ward, FYI. They monitor you and administer meds. Did I not ask you guys to google it?
Hey before you lose control - back off. You don't know jack about me or the mental disorders that run in my family and that I deal with on a daily basis. My sister is a bipolar addict. I suffer from depression and OCD myself. I would never go to the ER for my own conditions. I see a therapist on a semi-regular basis in order to adjust my behavior. You went to the ER for your panic attack. My sister has panic attacks. I've seen them. And when she has them, the whole world is about the end. Sound about right? You were not in a medical emergency, henc why the ER told you to wait. If it was life & death, they would have addressed you. Then you started going into unauthorized places and created such a scene that SEVEN guards had to escort you to leave. Give me a break and get a regular doctor/therapist instead of using the ER for your non-emergency medical needs. You were treated exactly the way you should have been (given the way you acted) and have no recourse. They didn't refuse you treatment. You caused a scene and were physically removed. Would you have been physically removed had you had a true medical emergency?

I edited the original post. This all led to emotional/psychological trauma and pain and suffering.
How much money did it cost you to be treated elsewhere that day (or the next) for the emotional/psychological trauma and pain and suffering?

If you didn't incur any treatment costs for those conditions you have no claim.

[QUOTE=Mr. Knowitall;859463..It's not clear, however, that you made a proper request for a quiet place to wait, rather than making your demands to the wrong people in a restricted area of the E.D.[/QUOTE]

It's a little hard to "make a proper request" to the correct person when you are having what you think is a heart attack (that's what many people think it is the first time they have one." Thank you for your empathy though.

Since when is legal recourse limited to actual costs?

Did the experience lead to seizures?

Legally, you don't have a claim for something that didn't happen.

what did you want them to do,, there is no cure if you have a panic attack,, take you pill and wait it out. you basically went there because of something that might happen

Assume it was a medical emergency ok?
    No.

You only say it was a medical emergency.

What did you do after you were escorted out of the ER?

    Did you go home?
    Did the panic attack subside?
Did you seek medical treatment elsewhere?
Did you incur medical treatment costs?

What, exactly, are you trying to learn here?

If you are asking "Can I successfully sue the hospital and get money?"

    The answer is no.

    Anything else?

I'm in total control of what I type here. You stated that panic attacks are not something that ERs treat. That's wrong. I know from other experiences that they do and have been advised by doctors to call 911 if needed. I stand by what I typed. You familiarity with mental illness make your ignorance all the more appalling.

" Would you have been physically removed had you had a true medical emergency? " YES. If they MISTAKENLY rated the emergency. Plus there are other issue. Really, how can you be this ignorant?

One more time, panic attacks are a medical emergency. ER doctors have told me so. Nurses have told me so. Doctors have told me so. I don't know how else to put it.

Try suing without any and you'll find out.

Yes. Assume that it was. For the purposes of this discussion, assume that it was.

And I'm telling you, if anyone in the ER thought you had a true emergency, you would have been TREATED. Not ESCORTED OUT. Get it?

As for the money - you sue people for damages, i.e. money. In other words, you sue someone because they did something to you that COST you something, and you want that back. What did the ER do to you that COST you something that you want to get back? You are getting accurate and applicable advice here. You just don't like it. You have no recourse.
