My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Idaho
This isn't so much for me as it is for my mother-in-law. I'm doing this because she just doesn't know how to find this info. Here is the issue:
The business she works for is a chain gas station that is owned locally. She works full time, however, she isn't getting paid all of her hours. This is happening to other employees as well. She and other employees are afraid to say anything to the owners for fear of losing their jobs. She keeps saying that Idaho is a "right-to-work" state and that she can be fired just for asking about "why she isn't getting paid for the hours worked/logged". I looked up the "right-to-work" state law and it basically states 'you don't have to pay due to keep your job'. What can she do if she does get fired for asking "WHY"? and what should she do if they still refuse to pay for unpaid hours? please help as this does directly affect the lives of poeple she is responsible for. thank you.
