My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of California. I gave my landlords my 30 day notice on December 01,2014, but this month has 31 days. My landlords are saying I have to be out on the 30th or they will charge me another months rent...Can they do this with the rent that I paid on December 1st taking me to December 31st and I pay rent once a month? I have never had this problem before and it's my understanding that if I am not out by December 31st THEN they can charge me another months rent because I am PAID UP until December 31st. I have had my lease with them for over 7 years and it is now ending on a very sour note. I have other questions, but I'll ask them one at a time.
