Default What is the Statute of Limitations for Kidnapping

My question involves criminal law for the state of: TN

In 2003 I was kidnapped by four (4) adults, beaten by one (1) and threatened with even more physical violence/injury. Has the statute of limitations run out? Thank you very much for your help.

How old were you at the time of the assault and was it reported to law enforcement in 2003?

If it was reported, do they have arrest warrants for the 4 individuals?

If it wasn't reported, why not?

I was 46 at the time. It was not reported because it involved three of my four siblings and their spouses - something that I have considered humiliating and embarrassing for many years.

The SOL for kidnapping in TN is 4, 8, or 15 years depending on the facts of the case. The only SOL that has not run is for a class A felony.

Is there any proof that this occurred? Will the offenders admit to the act or will they all have a different tale to tell?

Further, in your case it is only the class A felony ot especially aggravated kidnapping (with the 15 year SOL) if the kidnapping occurred with a deadly weapon or the display of any article used or fashioned to lead the victim to reasonably believe it to be a deadly weapon, was committed to hold you for ransom or reward, or as a shield or hostage, or you suffered serious bodily injury (more than a bruise).
