Default Becoming a Legal Permanent Resident With a Deferred Drug Offense

Hi everyone. it's been two years since I was charged with possession of drug paraphanelia, which stated a class c misdemeanor. I completed 6 months probation, under deferred adjudication. Will USCIS reject my application for adjusting status to become a legal permanent residency? I am considering to marry my girlfriend and create a family, but I need to know if can stay in the country to raise my future children and continue my education. Thanks in advanced, any advice is greatly appreciated.

The nature of the drug offense matters. Are we talking, for example, about your marijuana pipe or your heroin kit?
