Default Can You Get Emancipated if Your Parents Kick You Out

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Oklahoma.
I'm 16 about to be 17 in 10 days and my parents have kicked me out of the house again. This is the fourth time this year and the same has happened many times last year. This time when my parents kicked me out they said leave my house and don't come back and also said to just do whatever because i'm old enough to make my own decisions. I want to get emancipated. I am getting a good paying job and have transportation to and from work and school. I have a place to stay with my girlfriend who is 18 and we planned on getting a studio apartment close to the school. She has a good paying job and makes about $600 a month. I'm almost positive that my parents won't sign for me to be emancipated but my dad might if i convince him that i'm doing great on my own, However my mom wouldn't sign for my emancipation. so what should i do in order to get emancipated?

Hang with your BFF and call Childrens Services ASAP. They will handle the situation for you. You have my sympathy on being cast aside, especially near the holidays.

Emancipation of a minor in OK gives you one right, and one right only, that an unemancipated minor does not have - the right to sign a contract. It does not remove you from your parents care, custody or control. You may find that a landlord will be very reluctant to rent to a couple of teenagers and your being emancipated does not force him to do so.

Not to mention too that $ 600 a month is not a good paying job! It's well below the poverty line for a single person.

And many landlords will not rent to anyone under 21, especially without a credit worthy cosigner.
