So instead of staying to take care of the child the mother has clearly abandoned, the father is leaving her for 3 weeks? Poor child. That won't look too good on his part when he goes to court for custody.

And I believe that's a monumental error, to be blunt. The child is TWO. In my opinion, she either goes with, or Dad stays home. If the child was older, sure - but she's a toddler.
