Default Re: Return Item 4 Months Ago

That's correct, a year ago I never bought any laptop from this store. Just only one 4 months ago had been returned. That's why I want to know to prepare to fight with them. But if they file with county attorney then I have to hire a lawyer then I spend the money but I don't have alot money to deal with this. If they do file with county attorney, what is the next thing the county will do? Do you know any experience? One thing he told me the serial number is one of my old laptop a year ago, I knew exactly he was wrong! That's why he asked me why did I returned the laptop before, I told him because the laptop wasn't on, I had charged 4 hours but I still didn't see anything came up, that's why I brought back to returned it.

You returned a laptop that you bought 4 months ago and upon inspection they found out that the serial number belongs to a laptop that you bought a while back? What a coincidence?

No, the laptop I was returned 4 months ago, they were inspected and checked the serial number in the laptop and the reciept and in their system were match, that's why they had refunded my money!
Now they said I had swaped my old laptop to returned 4 months ago! They were wrong! When I brought in returned they took the laptop to the back room they checked before they refunded my money! One more thing was, a year ago I didn't buy any laptop from them!

Now I just want to know? they will file with the county attorney or they just saying to make me scare? Because I don't have money to hire the lawyer for this, that's why I want to prepare everything before bad thing going on? Or I sue them first because they denied my return with their return policy! They also sold me the camera had been used with the memory card inside with thier video and pictures but they said the camera is brand new, never been used before! Or what is your experience what the next step the county attorney will do?

Exercise your right to remain silent. If arrested, hire a lawyer or seek a public defender, plead not guilty if you cannot get a PD before entering a plea.

Ok, lets say that you bought a laptop back in 2012 with serial number US201201.

Then you bought a laptop 4 months ago with serial number US201401.

The store is saying you kept the laptop with the serial number US201401 and returned the laptop with serial number US201201 that is an older model laptop with outdated hardware.

It is very easy to prove your innocence. You need to take the laptop from the purchase in 2012 to the County Attorney. You show the County Attorney the serial number of the older laptop US201201 and then the County Attorney will realize that the store must have made a mistake, because if you had returned the laptop with serial number US201201 to the store, you wouldn't have that laptop in their office at that moment. You do have in your possession the older laptop with the serial number that the store says that you returned, don't you?

If you don't have the laptop in your possession, you better know where it is at. They don't want to hear that you sold it a while back and don't know who you sold it to.

You know what? You're heading for a lot of criminal trouble and substantial fines if the store produces a laptop with your older serial number from a prior purchase. If this is the case, you better come up real quick with $1,850 to reimburse the store for their loss. If you come up with the money before the store notifies the County Attorney, you stand a chance not to be criminally charged with a crime. If you can't come up with the money to reimburse the store before they notify the County Attorney, the store will sue you for the $1,850 plus attorney fees, you will have a criminal record, court imposed fines, have to complete community service and maybe even see some jail time.

The serial number in the laptop and the reciept were the same! I knew exactly! Because the store had checked! Because the 2012 model and 2014 model are different! The apple laptops are different, you have to match exactly serial number, No way you can swaped, I was not stupib to did that! But why store didn't sue me about 4 months ago? Now I return the camera then they denied my returned and they said they will file the county attorney? Why?

I also knew exactly 100% not my old laptop serial number!

One more thing! If they sue me, if I hire a lawyer I will win this case! Because I knew the store told me my old laptop serial number wasn't right! I knew 100% exactly!

Now I just want to know why they didn't sue me in 4 months ago and now they said they will file county attorney?

Can they sue after returned the laptop 4 months ago?

Not only can they sue you from 4 months ago, but they can also get criminal charges placed against you.

Where is your laptop from 2012? Do you have it?

The laptop 2012 I had sent over sea after I bought 6 months. That's why I knew exactly wasn't my old laptop serial number!

But my 2012 laptop was 15 inches. The laptop I was returned 4 months ago was 13 inches. Everything was different!
