My mother was given an overdose of Metoprolol Tart rate, which caused her a complete heart blockage and shut down her kidneys. She had to have a triple bypass. She is now a Dialysis patient.

First things first - why are you suing instead of your mother?

Usually (but not always) when an attorney withdraws it's because the case isn't winnable in the first place, or that there would be only a relatively small pay-out. It looks that's what happened since nobody else will take the case.

Perhaps he feels that there isn't any malpractice at all.

I hate to say it but if he dropped out it may not have been a solid case with enough evidence. There are a lot of excellent resources that you can use here at Expertlaw.com that will help you in the future should you need a lawyer but please do not wait until the last minute. In most cases the lawyers goal is to get you a settlement or something called a structured settlement (you can read about that and medical malpractice cases here) because your losses are compensated for over the long run while you have a safe reliable stream of income while the attorney who handles your case wants all of their money up front.

If he thought you were too wild or that he was not going to be rewarded then he would drop out of the case. If there is anything we can do to help please don't hesitate to ask.
