And how would any "evidence" help his case. Just because you were screwed by the store doesn't give you permission to STEAL from that store let alone some other store. His excuse, even if you believed it, doesn't make a darned bit of difference to his guilt.

It's not going to help at all. If he was going to SUE the store about the items not to received, it certainly would lean the preponderance of evidence in his direction. It doesn't do anything about his criminal behavior.
