Default Suing for Child Support as a minor

Hello. I've been trying to find a place like this to get some advice on my situation. If there's ANYTHING I can do please let me know. I'm trying to find as many ways and as many loopholes to take care of this problem as I can.

My parents are divorced (I live with my mother in OH and he lives in GA). Just the other day we got the results of the last child support hearing. My father wanted the support lowered (which he wasn't even meeting payments to begin with). It's not as though he doesn't have the money either. My parents owned a successful EMS company together and my mom had to pay him off for his half of the company (Which was in the high millions). He lives in a house that's fully paid for and has pleanty of money to spend on himself, his girlfriend (recently now his new wife), and her kids... They've even gone on multiple trips to Jamacia together, a cruise, and trips to Vegas. *blank look* But he "doesn't have money..."

I have two older brothers (32 and 24) whom both have their own families now. And my little sister just turned 12. I'll be 18 in Feb. According to the court, my father's child support was lowered to only $400- something a month for both of us. Not only is that completely ridiculous (sp?) but it gets worse.

Not only is it lowered, but since he first filed to have the child support lowered back in March (I believe), then the new amount of 400 was all he had to pay all that time... which simply means we owe him money in a way. Plus he never paid his $2,000-something child support for this month, which he doesn't have to pay now. Seeing how I'll be 18 in 2 months and graduate in June, we've done the math... he won't have to pay another dime until my sister is 14.

My family is in a bad financial spot right now, because of the divorce and also because the company isn't doing well right now because banks are breathing down our necks. That child support is literally the only thing that's giving my mom the income to raise us, because she hasn't taken money from the company. The company needs the moeny to keep things rolling until we get out of this rough spot... which probably won't be till late next year at the earliest.

So, here's the few questions I pose to you: 1) What rights as a minor (at least for the moment) do I have to sue my dad for child support. 2) How could I go about suing my dad for child support. 3) Is it possiable for me to sue him for the money he stole from my bank account a couple years back, and how could I do that (That was my college money and he knew that, it was a huge chunk that could have covered at least a couple years). 4) Is there a way I could sue him to help me pay for college? Is there any kind of obligation he has to help pay? Anything that I can get from him pretty much...

-Just to keep in mind I live in Ohio, his legel residency is GA. And I don't know if it makes a difference, but I'll be going to a private college in Ohio.

Thanks so much for any help you can give me! *crosses fingers*

There's already an active support case. You can't open a second, simultaneous case.

So what does that mean exactly? Am I able to still appeal their decisions and ask that something be done about it, using our same case?

It is your mother's case. She and your father are the parties.

I understand that part of it. But I still am wondering what I can do with the exsisting case.

And can anyone tell me about the idea with college. Would he be under any kind of obligation to help me pay for it? Would that fall under the current child support case? And what about the money taken from my bank account? Would that fall under a completely different matter that'd I'd have to take up?

See if your mother will let you discuss your concerns with her lawyer.
