My question involves civil rights in the State of: NY
I had a minor issue with my previous employer. The issue was simply because the employer was not able to take simple feedback about how it may get better and issues had as employment.
So I decide to signup as a member for the facility. The supervisor tells me I need a voided check to sign up. So I go to get a voided check and as soon as I come back to sign up. The supervisor pulls me to the side and declines membership sign because of making employees uncomfortable. It made no sense because the day I return to turn in my keys one the employees asked why I left and gave him the reason.
1. Not able to complete task as requested by supervisor.
2. Why unable to complete and possible suggestions that may help the new employee do similar tasks.
So I feel like something was wrong here because I was not able to sign up and then to finish it off the supervisor tells me to leave the building and that I was not wanted. I need some advice on this and is it something that can be resolved in a legal matter.
