There's two issues: The money and why you lost your job.

Your employer can appeal the money issue because that is why you sent in your 12 months of paystubs. However, that doesn't affect your benefits because once EDD makes a decision they continue to you act on it until a decision is made at an appeal hearing to reverse it.

The last thing left is the reason you lost your job. I think 23 days since your phone interview is way too long. Have you looked at your screens or checked your B of A debit card for deposits? For many, EDD doesn't send determinations when granted benefits, they just pay the money, and that is your only clue that you've been approved. However, if denied, they always send those. If you moved or anything, you really have to find out if there was an adverse decision because the appeal window is short.
