Default Using a Faded Sign as a Defense to a Ticket

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: CA.

Three weeks ago, my wife got a ticket CVC 21461 (a), because she entered a bus parking zone where sign posted was (Do Not Enter), however that sign was really worn out by elements, you could hardly see the red on it. Could we argue in court that sign was bad and thus get ticket dismissed?

maybe, maybe not. It's going to be a judgment call by the courts.

Take a good picture of the sign if you are going to try...in fact, take several good pictures.

Did she almost flunk the sign test when getting her drivers license?

How is this a constructive comment?

Is "do not enter" one of the sign shapes you are supposed to recognize in your state? Its not in mine.

Guess what, you're still obliged to not enter even if it wasn't on your driver's test. There's no way 20 questions is going to address the entire vehicle code.

That wasn't the point I was making to Dis.

The sign was so faded that OP's wife didn't notice it. Dis decided to make a snide comment about the OP's wife flunking the sign test when she got her driver's license. I was trying to point out, very gently, (perhaps too gently in this case) that "do not enter" wasn't one of the signs on the sign test. Therefore the snide comment was unnecessarily tacky.

I tried to attach a picture to show dilapidated condition of "DO NOT ENTER" sign, but I am unable to. Looks like you have to go thru some URL to attach. Am I correct here that you just can not attack pictures on this forum?

Yes, actually it is. See number 12. I intentionally hit the wrong answer so it would clearly identify is purpose.
