Default Sexually Harassed and Threatened by a Co-Worker

i'm from New York I'm a fairly young manager at a fast food establishment I've been sexually harassed by an employee I told my assistant store manager what happened she said the only thing she can do until the main manager came back was for me to write him up and to wait.when the main manager came back from vacation she asked if I wanted him fired I I would rather not have it be my fault that he can't support his family and I would appreciate if she would just talk to him because I just want to not have this happen again I also asked to leave my name out of it because he lives very close to me somehow he found out that the complaint came from me and was telling other employees that if his wife finds out she's going to jump me I'm scared because he's a felon and his wifeis a drunk that's in and out of jail herself I told my main store manager and the only thing she said was to call the cops if you came to my house is there anything else I can do because I'm scared to leave my houseand I feel like nobody is trying to protect me at work

You say you're a manager, and that this is an employee. Is this an employee you supervise? An employee you can fire or discipline?

You reported the harassment to your employer, then specifically asked that they give the co-worker nothing but a warning. It appears that your employer did exactly as you asked, with no recurrence of sexual harassment.

Now the employee is making a statement about what his wife might do if she found out about your report. He's not making that statement to you, but it has filtered back to you. There is no reason to believe that he has told his wife about your report -- his statement in fact indicates that he has not. It's difficult to characterize the statement as a threat as it's both conditional and hypothetical. Do you want your employer to confront the employee about the statement?
