Please clarify why it would be legal to have surveillance in the fitting rooms? Following this premise, it is conceivable that owners can place surveillance in female bathrooms? You can't identify privacy legalities from this circumstance? My aim is to try and illustrate that if fitting rooms were not monitored, in direct sight of a consumer changing, than evidence is lacking. It's all about the evidence, my friend.

I erred in reading your note, I apologize. I failed to specify which method of surveillance.
Why do you specify "female bathrooms" as if it is ok to place surveillance in "male bathrooms"?!?

I never understood why people are stores get all upset when a male sits down to wait for his wife at a "female" fitting room, yet females can use "male" fitting rooms.

I have a discussion at Macy's last week. The associate said the fitting rooms were gender neutral and that males could use fitting rooms in the women's departments if they wanted to. They even said it was a corporate policy. Kudos to Macy's, I am going to start using "female" fitting rooms.

From my own research - camera surveillance and use of two-way mirrors is allowed in fitting rooms in over 30 states. Of course, each state has it's own set of restrictions and guidelines such as, customer notification and female viewing/male viewing of the videos.

I don't think the policy involves sharing the stall.

Bet LP loves this. Assuming they are allowed to do the same. They weren't when I was there right as the gender-neutral thing was being rolled out.

Actually, it's quite easy and possible to make a ticket switching case and prosecute it without looking into the fitting room stall. I'm not going to discuss how on a public forum though.
