My friend is from Sierra Leone. His mother filed for him when he was younger and unmarried. While waiting for the approval he got married and had 2 children. He came to the U.S. without his wife and kids and filed for them. He was able to bring his children here (5 yrs old) but not his wife. When he went to file a visa for his wife he ran into major issues with the status of being unmarried and they denied his wife a visa. He is raising 2 children and paying mortgage by himself. He also had a life threatening illness and was juggling going to hospital for treatments once a week, working a full-time and part-time job and raising the kids for 2 years now. Is there anyway he can get his wife a visa?
P.S. I apologize if I've used wrong terminology as I am not fluent with immigration terms.
