Legally, no, you do not have a leg to stand on. Not unless you have a legally binding and enforceable contract that guarantees the higher rate of pay. If you are being paid the higher of state or Federal minimum wage (if different) the law will consider that you have been paid correctly. Especially in Florida, where they barely care if you get paid at all.
I would be very careful about following Dis's advice since they would be at perfect liberty to say, "Thanks for your service to ABC company; today is your last day; don't slam the door on your way out."
