My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: CA
So a while back my amazon account was hacked. I do not know how but whoever hacked my account started a shopping spree with some sort of credit card. At first I didn't think much of it since my credit card was not being charged but I still tried to close my account, but that failed. I never received any of these items and eventually I got emails along the lines of me needing to pay for the items because of issues with the Bank of the credit card. The thing is I never actually bought the items and it seemed that after whoever completed their spree they just disappeared. I refused to pay for the items that the perpetrator purchased and now my amazon account has been closed. I tried to open a new account but amazon linked it with the closed account since my original information was the same (address and name I'm guessing).
It's been a couple of months now and I have steered clear of amazon but is there anything I can do? Whenever I tried to email amazon regarding the issue, they never responded.
Will I ever be able to purchase items from amazon again? I had been a loyal customer for a long time.
