    Default Theft of services

While living in Texas i had a service done to my apartment and refused to pay after being done. The company talked to a friend who was a cop and had me arrested for theft of services, under $100( owed him $60). The paper work on my Personal Bond said i would recieve a court date withing 30 days, i called and called for 3 months and they could never find it in there system so i thought it was dropped, 4 months after the incident i moved out of texas to washginton state and found out after almost 2 years that the court days paper work was sent out a full year after the incident( 3 weeks after my change of address paperwork time period ended LOL). I called to speak to someone and they told me that i have warrents out for my arrest for failure to appear. I talked to a lawyer in texas and he told me not to worry about it since i dont live in texas since misdamenors(sorry i'm bad at spelling) dont cross state lines. Now while i am happy about that, the fact that i have warrents out on me still bothers me, is there any way without going back to texas and fighting it i can have it thrown out for not being givin Due process since my paperwork i sighned and judge sighned said i would recieve a court date within 30 days and my acuall court date was over 1 year later? any info would be great thank you!

The only answer to your question is for you to go to Texas and surrender.

Then all your questions will be answered.

If you have paid everything off, maybe the prosecutor has lost interest in the case.

The statute of limitations stops running when a warrant is issued.

ahh so if i dont take care of it, i will always have a warrent out for my arrest? and was the lawyer correct in the fact that misdemenor warrents dont jump state lines, so as long as i dont go to texas i shouldnt worry about it?
